WHAT’S WRONG WITH YOU, IN A NUTSHELL

Which are you good at?  Technology or sociality?  Machines or mindreading?  Are you more likely to make a fool of yourself in a technical situation, or a social situation?  Are you more comfortable with a computer or children?  Would you rather fix a telephone, or talk into one?

Do you have a male brain or a female brain?

Don’t tell me you’re part of that minority who have a unique combination of both!  Because then you might have a rare understanding of the other sex, but you’re confused about yourself.

Let me ask you this:  Which brain do you want to sleep with?

That’s your whole problem right there.  Because sleeping with them might lead to living with them.  You will never understand their wacky way of seeing reality unless you get inside their brain.

Luckily there’s a science dedicated to that.  Neuroscientists are demonstrating an extraordinary tradeoff in our mental talents.  Will you be good at machines or mindreading?  It all depends on which sex hormones are marinating our brains while we are in the womb.  Forget social forces for a moment.  Hormones brainwash you long before culture does.

If you think the sex battle is hot now, wait until we get into the biology of the brain specialized to win that battle.

I don’t know how any relationship worked before this science came along.  It’s time somebody put it in English.
